About What We Do
In 2006, the State of Ohio created the Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission (OMHC), which was granted authority over manufactured home installations, licensing and regulation of manufactured home communities, licensing of installers, dealers, brokers, and salespersons, and the certification of inspectors.
In 2018, through House Bill 49 (the Ohio Operating Budget), the OMHC was transitioned into the Ohio Department of Commerce (DOC). Oversight responsibilities now fall under the DOC and the Board of Building Standards (BBS).
Lineage Property Inspections LLC is among the few companies in Ohio contracted by the Department of Commerce and licensed by the Board of Building Standards to issue permits and perform the required inspections for manufactured home installations statewide. In addition to DOC-mandated inspections, we also provide a range of optional services to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients.
